In the footsteps of Le Corbusier

An atypical neighbourhood

An architectural style out of the ordinary

In the years 1968-1972, Dingsheim saw the birth of the very first housing estate in the Kochersberg, a veritable ode to the avant-garde spirit of Le Corbusier. Designed by the architect Monsieur Présenté, this unique neighbourhood embodies the visionary legacy of Le Corbusier, famous for his innovative ideas in town planning and modernist architecture.

Each of the four types of home created is a perfect fusion of functionality and aesthetics. With 41 homes offering roof terraces and 42 built around central patios, the homes of around 110m2 offer unique freedom of personalisation to each owner. Despite this diversity, the dimensions of the spaces and buildings have been meticulously calculated according to the Modulor concept, which guarantees perfect harmony in every detail. Modulor is the contraction of “module” and “golden number”, which is expressed by a concrete module framing the bay windows.

The distinctive exteriors of the houses stand out from traditional Alsatian homes with their bright whiteness, flat roofs and façades decorated with two-tone glass mosaics. The vast, unfenced lawns in front of each house offer a living environment where every street seems to be a veritable work of art. The materials of choice are glass, concrete and steel.

Stroll down the streets of Modulor, Brasilia, Firminy, Chandigarh and Rezé, and let yourself be transported to a world where the past inspires the present, for a unique residential experience.
