The chapel Ste Marguerite de Himmolsheim (village disappeared in the XVth century and was mentioned in 1243) is a small jewel of the Romanesque architecture of the XIIth century. The two-storey tower is massive with its gable or gable roof.
The semicircular choir arch provides the link with the nave which was rebuilt in the 17th century.
The major interest of the monument is that it is in fact a rural parish church from the Middle Ages in its original state, restored but not altered! The chapel is located in a field near Fessenheim-le-Bas. The water from the curbstone outside was supposed to cure skin diseases and the place had become a pilgrimage.
